A little about our Sunnyvale services

Our Sunnyvale building is located in the beautiful Sunnyvale West neighborhood, nestled between two spacious parks and just a stone’s throw away from the 85 freeway.

We call our building Common Ground because we wanted our facility to be a place where people of all backgrounds and abilities can feel welcome. We offer two services on Sundays at 11 am and 1 pm, each with a unique look and feel. Our morning service hosts families and single professionals hailing from the area spanning from Morgan Hill to Santa Clara. Our afternoon service is home to young families and professionals from the Sunnyvale area, as well as college students and teens from campuses in the Peninsula and South Bay.

We’re an outgoing group and believe in creating a loving environment, so expect someone to say hi and introduce themselves. Feel free to drop us a line with any questions you may have, and we’ll be happy to connect with you before your visit!

Note: Easter Services on March 31st will be held at 10:30am & 1pm with an Easter Egg Hunt in-between

What to expect when you arrive

We know it can be challenging visiting a new church for the first time, so we want to make your experience an encouraging one.

Parking is readily available between our lot and the surrounding neighborhood, so you should be able to make your way in without much hassle. If you haven’t connected with anyone prior to your visit, you’ll be greeted by an usher as you arrive who can guide you to a seat and answer any questions you may have. Children’s ministry is available for kids up to 10, and we offer translation services and special needs support upon request.

A typical Sunday service lasts 60-90 minutes, and contains worship singing together, life sharing from speakers, and a Bible-based sermon. It’s not uncommon for us to host social activities before or after services on campus or at the park across the street, so feel free to stick around and get to know us!

Community involvement and service opportunities

Our members have amazing hearts to use their talents and passions for good. They lead and partake in various projects and programs locally, including E-Life and E-Sports. The E-programs specialize in inclusion, partnering kids with typical and special needs alongside each other in various capacities.

We are happy to host two of their newest programs, E-Gardening and E-Photography, right in our own backyard garden. These programs are open to anyone in the area. Learn more about opportunities to give back to your community at our services.

Stick around after service and make some great friends

After service, go for lunch at different restaurants surrounding Common Ground. You’ll often find friends pulling out blankets and fold-out chairs for picnics at the park across the street.

Throughout the week, continue the spiritual conversations at Let’s Talk Night. For each stage of life, different LTN groups meet throughout the week to talk about God and continue building relationships in each other’s homes or while going out for dinner.
