Those who get wisdom do themselves a favor,
and those who love learning will succeed.

Proverbs 19:8 NCV

31 Those who learn from the lessons of life
will join the others who are wise.
32 Those who disregard discipline sabotage themselves,
but those who are open to correction gain understanding.

Proverbs 15:31-32 Voice

25 For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.”

Mark 4:25 AMP

It has been said that attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. When it comes to personal growth, I have found that my attitude toward learning makes all of the difference. If I am going to grow in ways I have never grown, and be effective in areas I am yet to experience success then I need to learn things I have never known. Too often I see the need to grow as a burden, a disappointment, or a failure instead of an opportunity. Approaching my relationship with God and people with humility and a spirit that is eager to learn makes the growth process enjoyable for everyone. To become a force for good we must have the right attitude toward learning.

What is your attitude toward learning? Do you have a teachable heart?

What is God trying to teach you? Where is God guiding you that requires you to learn something new to get there?

This is a post in a series called “15 Days to Become a Force For Good,” which is a follow up to our 2017 Expo.
